Description
Late 19th to early 20th century. 2-storey, 4-bay pair of houses, 1 with shop/workshop at ground, in irregular terrace running to NW. Stugged squared and snecked rubble with red sandstone ashlar dressings. Eaves cornice. Stone mullions and stop-chamfered arrises.
SW (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: centre bays closely aligned, each with panelled timber door and plate glass fanlight at ground and single window above; bay to right at ground with timber shop door and flanking small lights with moulded windowheads, narrow fascia board above giving way the canted tripartite oriel window breaking eaves into finialled, ogeed metal roof; bay to left of centre with single window at ground and oriel (as above) to 1st floor.
SE ELEVATION: broad blank gabled bay with slightly set-back lower harled workshop to right, latter with bipartite to left, further opening to centre and 2 modern rooflights.
4- and 6-pane glazing pattern over plate glass lower sashes, plate glass to lights flanking shop door, all in timber sash and case windows. Grey slates. Coped ashlar stacks with cans, ashlar-coped skews with moulded skewputts.
