Description
Kennels Cottage, built around 1925, is a two-storey, two-bay cottage with a rectangular plan and an unusual design featuring crowstepped gables and fan-shaped windows. The exterior is harled with stone cills.
On the southeast elevation, there is a crowstepped porch that includes a part-glazed timber door and a plate glass fanlight, positioned slightly to the left of the center. There are windows on the outer left at the first floor and one window on each floor to the right.
The northeast elevation features a full-height projecting chimneybreast at the center, flanked by fan-shaped windows at the first floor.
The northwest (rear) elevation has a boarded timber door at the center of the ground floor, with windows in the flanking bays and regular fenestration on the first floor.
On the southwest elevation, there is another full-height projecting chimneybreast.
The cottage has timber sash and case windows with 16-, 20-, and 12-pane configurations, showcasing decorative astragalled glazing patterns. The fan windows also feature decorative astragals. The roof is covered with grey slates, and the chimney stacks are coped and harled.
