Description

Manseholm is a former manse located on Manse Road in Moulin, originally built in 1820, extended in 1882, and altered in 1957. This two-storey building features a three-bay layout and a piend roof, forming an L-plan with a later wing and porch. The exterior is harled with stone margins.

The south elevation is symmetrical, showcasing a small piended porch with a bipartite window and a door on the right side of the central bay at ground level. There are windows in the flanking bays and three smaller windows near the eaves on the first floor. To the outer left, there is a later set-back bay with a bipartite window on each floor, with the first-floor window breaking the eaves into a dormerhead.

On the east elevation, there is an advanced bay to the left of the centre featuring two windows at ground level and another window close to the eaves on the outer right at the first floor, along with a dominant wallhead stack in the centre. To the right, there are three later set-back bays, with a bipartite window in the centre bay on both floors, a further bipartite window to the left at ground level with a single piended dormer-headed window above, and a window in the bay to the right at ground level.

The north elevation is asymmetrical, displaying a variety of elements, including a stair window in the centre of the original block and a projecting wing to the left.

The windows are timber sash and case, featuring 4-, 12-pane, and plate glass glazing patterns. The roof is covered with grey slates, and the harled stacks are coped with cans.

The boundary walls are made of coped rubble and are complemented by hooped ironwork gates and decorative ironwork posts.
