Moulin Hall, Kirkmichael Road, Moulin

Moulin Hall, located on Kirkmichael Road in Moulin, was built in 1851 and altered in 1954. This single-storey, three-bay building originally served as a school and features a small gabled porch and a belfry. The exterior is made of squared and snecked rubble with long squared rubble quoins. The doors have pointed arches with voussoirs, and the windows are square.

The west elevation, which is the entrance side, is symmetrical. It has a porch in the center bay with a boarded timber door and a plate glass fanlight above. There is a round clock housed in a small square timber structure at the gablehead, and a small stone belfry above it, which consists of a rubble base that straddles the ridge and transitions into a small rounded buttressed arch with pointed, battered coping. There is a blocked opening on the right side that appears as a second door, with windows in the flanking bays.

On the south elevation, there is a window in the gabled bay to the left of center and another window in the center. The north elevation features a window in the gabled bay to the right of center, with a door immediately to the left. The east elevation, or rear, is a blank dry-dashed wall with two steel buttresses.

The building has timber windows with a 6-pane glazing pattern and is covered with graded grey slates. It also has overhanging eaves with plain bargeboarding.
