Description
Tower Buildings, located on Station Road in Birnam, date back to 1859, as indicated by the weather vane. This Victorian Gothic structure is a two-storey building with a basement and attic, designed in a V-plan shape at the corner. The original ground floor features shops with four-centre arched glazing. There is a slim square corner tower that rises three storeys and is topped with a pyramid roof. The building includes a Tudor-style doorway with a balcony above a second-floor Gothic window. It is constructed from snecked rubble with buff sandstone dressings, stop chamfers, and a slated roof.
