1 Murthly Terrace in Birnam is an early 19th-century building featuring two storeys. The ground floor is designed as a shop, with three windows above it. The building has a three-window gable and a one-window back wing. The front is constructed with courses of stone, while the gable is made of rubble with droved dressings. The roof is slated. The building was re-categorised in 2006 to a grade C(S) for its group interest, which includes consideration of both the interior and exterior as relevant to its type.
