Description
Rosemary, located at 12 High Street in Elie, is a Victorian Gothic building dating from around 1860. It features a picturesque and well-detailed design. The structure is asymmetrical, consisting of two storeys and an attic, with a two-window layout. The walls are constructed of good random whin rubble, with stugged dressings that include some odd chamfers. The entrance boasts a moulded depressed arch doorpiece and intricately chip carved woodwork. The right-hand windows are bipartite, featuring slim cast iron mullions, and there is a bargeboarded gable above. The first-floor window includes a balcony, and the roof is finished with slate, featuring a small canted dormer.
