Description

Late 18th to early 19th century. 2-storey and attic, 3-bay rectangular-plan crowstepped gabled house, converted as shop at ground to left, with rubble and timber forestair to No 5. Harl-pointed random rubble with cement margins to openings. Eaves course.

N (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: 2-leaf boarded door at ground in bay to centre; part-glazed timber panelled door at 1st floor above. Window at each floor in bay to right. Part-glazed door with window flanking to left at ground in bay to left; window at 1st floor above.

E (SIDE) ELEVATION: lean-to garage addition at ground; attic window to right of gable; gablehead stack above.

12- and 4-pane timber sash and case windows; rooflight to centre of N pitch. Grey slate; stone ridge; cement-rendered and lined, corniced gablehead stack to E and W; uPVC rainwater goods.

INTERIOR: No 3 converted as shop, fitted timber shelves. No 5, not seen, 1997.

BOUNDARY WALL: low cement-rendered and lined, coped wall along N elevation.
