Description

46-48 Princes Street in Ardrossan is a mid 19th century two-storey terrace building, originally designed by the architect Peter Nicholson in 1806 for Lord Eglinton. The terrace consists of two blocks, each featuring four windows. The exterior is finished in painted ashlar, with some ground floor pilasters still visible. The first floor windows have a cill course, with the windows at 46-58 having architraves and those at 60-70 featuring margins. The building is topped with a cornice, blocking course, straight skews, end stacks, and a slate roof. Additionally, the section at 68-70 includes a panelled parapet.
