Drissaig, 49 Main Street, Gateside, Beith

Drissaig is a later 19th century, 2-storey, 3-bay L-plan house located at 49 Main Street, Gateside, Beith. The exterior features a doorpiece with pilasters and an entablature, along with windows that have raised margins and stop-chamfered reveals. Additional details include angle margins, an eaves course, and sawtooth skews, all constructed from coursed, stugged sandstone.

On the south (rear) elevation, there are enlarged window openings and a flat-roofed extension situated in the re-entrant angle. The later 20th century glazing likely replaced the original timber sash and case plate glass windows. The roof is covered with grey slates, and there are corniced end stacks topped with octagonal clay cans.

Inside the house, no original features have survived.
