26 South Crescent Road, Ardrossan

26 South Crescent Road in Ardrossan is a building dating from around 1875, attributed to David Thomson. It is designed as a two-storey structure with an attic and features an asymmetrical layout. The exterior is constructed from snecked pink sandstone.

The building has an advanced gabled bay on the left side, which includes a canted five-light window on the ground floor and a tripartite window above. The central bay is located in a re-entrant angle and contains a tripartite window at ground level and a bipartite window with a wallhead gable on the first floor. The roof slopes to the right and features a stack with two octagonal flues.

There is a single-storey porch situated in the re-entrant angle between the central and eastern bays, which has a haunched arch leading to the door, set in moulded reveals with a stilted pointed head. A single light is present in the first-floor gabled dormer. The building is topped with a slate roof and has red tile ridges, along with corniced end stacks.
