Description
St Cuthbert's Parish Church, located on Campbell Avenue in Saltcoats, was designed by architect P MacGregor Chalmers in 1907 and showcases Romanesque architectural style. The church is constructed from rubble and features a nave with a clerestory, along with a "choir" and "sanctuary."
It has north and south aisles that include paired round-arched windows, with the north aisle also featuring a clerestory. The west end is buttressed and has tall round-arched windows with shafts. Additionally, there is a four-stage tower at the southwest corner, which includes a belfry with two tall openings under a round arch on each face, topped with a pierced parapet.
