Description

Foundation stone for rebuilding November 1885. Asymmetrical

2-storey and attic house; harled, with ashlar dressings,

and low, later 19th century rubble-built outbuildings

extending to north. West elevation has 5 bays with

additional gabled wing at left. 2-storey off-centre,

semi-circular bay with 3 windows to each storey, central

bipartites, pierced bracketed balcony to 1st floor window.

Entrance in 3-storey tower in re-entrant angle at left.

Door, with bracketed cornice, single window above and

bipartite in each face of top storey. Broad projecting

eaves with paired brackets and piended slate roof with iron

finial. 2 outer right bays, bipartites in outer bay, with

bracketed cornice over ground floor window. All upper sashes

with decorative glazing pattern; 1st floor windows all

shouldered. String course over ground floor and 1st floor

cill course. All roofs have projecting eaves with paired

brackets. Piended slate roofs throughout.
