12 Bowmont Terrace, Queen's Road, Dunbar

12 Bowmont Terrace is a 2-storey house dated 1884, featuring a first floor that breaks the eaves and is composed of three uneven bays. The exterior is made of red sandstone rubble that is snecked and coursed, with vertically droved ashlar dressings. The slate roof has a fish-scale pattern, particularly over the bracketed porch and the linked bipartite window on the right. The projecting ground floor windows have chamfered angles, and there are mullioned 4-light windows at the northwest corner bay and southwest angle, which include moulded and mitred stops. The house has sash windows with small-pane upper sashes and 2-pane lower sashes.

The entrance features a tripartite doorway with leaded flanking lights and a plate glass fanlight above. A string course runs along the gable end, and there is a segmental pediment above a small gabled dormer, which has a finial and carved detail below the cill. The gable also has a trussed barge board.

The house adjoins No. 11 through a flat-roofed window bay, which is likely a later addition. There is also a rear addition that was made in 1902 by George Cunningham Jnr.
