Description

  1. 2-storey, 1st floor breaking eaves. Terrace of 6

houses, grouped in pairs, mirrored about centre. Red

sandstone rubble, snecked and squared; vertically droved

ashlar dressings. Slate roofs. Plain barge boarding.

Decorative gutter fixtures. Projecting bipartite to each

house at ground floor with chamfered angles and moulded

stops; pentice roof over, continuous with main sweep and

forming porch canopies resting on timber brackets. Panelled

doors; plate glass fanlights. Small-pane upper, 2-pane lower

sashes at 1st floor: plate glass lower sash at ground floor.

Centre lip carved in 1st floor lintels. Unusual half piend,

roofs over gables, of single or 2-bay width. Segmental or

triangular pedimented dormer over doors to sides.

NO 6: Re-roofed in darker slates.
