66 Ferry Road, Edinburgh

66 Ferry Road is a terrace of four two-storey and attic houses built between 1860 and 1862. The houses are three bays wide, with an additional bay on the west side. They are constructed from cream ashlar sandstone and feature a cill course at the first floor, along with a cornice and blocking course. The doors have raised architraves and cornices, and the houses have a regular pattern of windows. Each house includes a single piend-roofed canted dormer, with some also featuring extra skylights.

The central houses have doors located in the inner bays and dormers in the outer bays, while the outer houses have doors in the inner bays and dormers in the outer bays. There is a further bay set back to the left, which includes a door (No 70a) at ground level and a window above, accessed through a corniced ashlar overthrow at the street front.

The windows are 4-pane timber sash and case, with plate glass at the ground floor for Nos 64, 66, and 70. The roofs are covered with grey slates, and the stacks have been rebuilt. The houses feature ashlar coped skews and a full complement of cans.

In front of the terrace, there are low saddleback ashlar coped walls with cast-iron railings, including sections with fleur-de-lys designs, and a stop-chamfered pier at the west corner.
