Description
Seafield is an earlier 19th century, two-storey, three-bay villa located on Shore Road in Lamlash, Arran. The building features decorative elements, including a painted stugged ashlar exterior and a piended slate roof. It has margined angles and an eaves course, with two-pane timber sash and case windows that have ashlar margins, while some multi-pane windows are present at the rear. The villa is topped with coped end stacks and uniform cream cans, and it has cast-iron rainwater goods.
On the front elevation, there is a panelled door set within a corniced and pilastered doorpiece, leading to a later decorative open latticed cast-iron porch with a swept leaded roof. Flanking the door are windows on both sides, and there are three windows on the first floor. To the right side of the building, there is a large single-storey timber addition with a pyramidal slate roof.
The rear elevation includes a lower two-storey service gable at the centre, which features a door and various windows.
The interior has not been seen. The property is enclosed by rubble boundary walls, with two ashlar gateposts at the front.
