Description
This is an early 19th century (possibly) courtyard group of buildings located at Littlestone Farm, Lawthorn, near Irvine. It comprises a farmhouse and associated outbuildings. The farmhouse is two storeys high and built of limewashed and painted stucco, with skew (angled) gables and slate roofs. The south side of the courtyard is closed by the outbuildings. The farmhouse facade facing the yard has three windows, followed by two windows, then another three, all with painted margins under swept half-dormer roof sections. A central entrance door provides access. Single-storey ranges extend forward from either end of the farmhouse, constructed of painted rubble with large openings facing the yard, and includes a loft opening in the west gable end.
