Description
Stanecastle Gate consists of a pair of two-storey lodges, built in the ashlar style and featuring battlements and machicolations. The lodges have round-headed sash windows and connect via a screen wall. A raised archway in the centre recalls the appearance of Redburn Gates in Kilwinning Parish. The gate serves as the entrance to Eglinton Park.
