Description

The Game Larder at Dougarie Lodge on Arran likely dates from the 19th century. It is a large structure with a twelve-sided plan, featuring an ashlar base and rustic timber piers. The openings are covered with gauze, and it has a facetted slate roof topped with a timber finial.

Inside, the larder is fully shelved and includes tie beams with travelling carcass hooks.
