Old Co-Op Yard Buildings, 2 Bells Road, Stornoway, Lewis

The Old Co-Op Yard Buildings on Bells Road in Stornoway, Lewis, are a late 19th century L-plan block of industrial buildings, likely used as a woollen mill. The structure consists of one and two-storey buildings made of polychrome brick, possibly sourced from the Garrabost brickworks, with a corner range that is rendered. The roofs are tiled or sheeted, and may have originally featured diamond tiles.

The building faces James Street, where there is a long single-storey range on the left with almost black walls and five small openings arranged in regular bays. To the right, there is a two-storey section with a pair of adjoining two-bay ranges that feature segmental arched openings. Narrow lights are positioned between the inner bays where the ranges connect. The building has skews and end stacks, with a long facade also facing Bells Road.
