Description

Dated 1883. Symmetrical and crow-stepped 2-storey double villa, with attic storey squeezed in, 4 bays (spaced 1-2-1), paired inner doors and 1st floor windows each linked by shared hood, and are set in centre gabled bay; canted ground floor windows to outer bays, crow-stepped dormer heads at 1st floor. Pinned, coursed and squared rubble, squared dressings, painted detail. Modern glazing. Corniced apex stacks; slate roof, similar low and flat-roofed dormer to each house, set close to roof ridge. Modern additions either side; guest house accommodation wing recessed right with modern conservatory, garage block left links to house alongside. Boundary wall topped by decorative cast-iron railings, original gates also survive (modern overthrow at right).
