Description
Home Farm and Granary at Letterfourie House is a granary block dated 1776, which is part of a former large U-plan structure facing south. The building is constructed of rubble with ashlar dressings. It features a central doorway and a round-headed loft door with a keystone, which has blocked imposts above. This loft door is flanked by small windows on either side. The central gable rises above the wallhead and displays a coat of arms, along with a birdcage bellcote topped with a ball finial, weathervane, and bell.
At the rear, there are two loft windows and a large later entrance added to the ground floor. An additional piended loft entrance is located on the east side, which is accessed by a forestair.
The roof is covered with local slate and has a stone ridge. Inside, the ceiling has been removed. There is also a roofless range on the east side and an irregular single-storey and loft range on the west, which has a corrugated iron roof.
