Description

The Old Highland Railway Bridge in Drybridge was built between 1882 and 1884. It is a single segmental-skew-arched railway bridge that carries the former Keith to Portessie line of the Highland Railway over a road in Drybridge village. The bridge features narrow pieces of squared rubble with large squared quoins, a flat-coped parapet, and swept approaches. It has large bull-faced voussoirs and quoins, and the arch is slightly stepped in at the center.
