Walkerdales

Walkerdales is a low, two-storey house dated 1677, featuring a long, irregular three-bay west-facing facade with a single-storey rear wing that projects at the southeast, forming an L-plan. The building is constructed from whitewashed and harled rubble. The west front has an off-centre door that is masked by a later gabled porch, which includes a side entrance. Above the door, there is a front window topped by a re-set scrolled and carved pediment that displays a coat of arms.

The house has three piended dormers from around 1900 that break the wallhead, along with two small gable windows on the north side and one on the south side, which may have another blocked window. The glazing is mainly four-pane. The structure features crowstepped gables, ridge and end stacks, and a slate roof, while the rear wing has a corrugated iron roof and a stone ridge. There is also a later continuous lean-to extension at the rear, which has modern fenestration.
