Hall, Elgin High Church, South Street, Elgin

The Hall at Elgin High Church, located on South Street in Elgin, was built in 1843. It is a large rectangular church oriented north to south, featuring advanced bays at the north and south gables. The structure is made of coursed rubble with ashlar dressings. The Romanesque entrance is located on the return wall of the northern projection, and there are triple round-arched, shafted lancets on the north gable, along with clasping buttresses and two truncated pinnacles. The west flank has five simple round-headed lancets, a moulded string course, and parapet coping, with lattice glazing and a slate roof.

Inside, the church retains its original galleried interior and fittings. At the rear, there is a Church Hall designed by A and W Reid and Wittet, built between 1903 and 1904. This hall features tooled ashlar with rubble flanks and a frontage facing South Guildry Street.
