Description

Mid 19th century. 3-storey and attic, 3-bay tenement. Finely droved ashlar, harled at ground floor; remaining elevations harled. Eaves cornice. Raised cills.

E (HIGH STREET) ELEVATION: 6-bay (1-4-1) late 19th century commercial facade at ground, with door in 2nd bay from left and regular fenestration in remaining bays. Tripartite windows in outer bays at 1st and 2nd floors; windows at centre. Band course above present shop fascia retains iron fixtures from earlier shop sign.

W ELEVATION: irregularly disposed fenestration to W elevation.

S ELEVATION: 2 blocked window openings in gablehead.

N ELEVATION: adjoined to Nos 135 and 137 High Street (see separate listing).

Variety of small-pane and plate glass glazing patterns in sash and case windows, flush horizontal paned windows at ground floor on E elevation. Coped skews. Harled gablehead stacks. 2 piended and canted slate-hung dormer windows to E pitch. Rooflights and shallow swept dormer window to W. Grey slates.
