Description

Earlier 19th century; reconstructed circa 1989. 3-storey, 5-bay corner tenement with 2 shops at ground. Ashlar; W elevation harled. Eaves cornice. Raised cills.

E (High Street) ELEVATION: 2 late 19th century tripartite corniced and Ionic pilastered shop fronts, No 95 to left, No 97 to right; plate glass windows flanking central recessed doorway, with display windows on inner return; ovolo-shaped fascia to No 95, dentilled cornice to No 97. Regular fenestration at 1st and 2nd floors.

S (EDINBURGH ROAD) ELEVATION: 3 bays, grouped to left. Window in

centre bay at ground. Regular fenestration at 1st and 2nd floors.

W ELEVATION: adjoined to Nos 2 and 4 Edinburgh Road to right, and to piend-roofed stair tower to Nos 2 and 4 at centre. 2 bays to left; door to right, regulary disposed fenestration to all floors.

N ELEVATION: ajoined to Nos 101 and 103 High Street (see separate listing).

12-pane glazing pattern in sash and case windows. Coped skews, raised to NW. Gablehead stacks to N and S. Grey slates.
