Description
Black Croft is a mid-19th century barn that was converted into a dwelling between 1900 and 1910. It is a single-storey, three-bay cottage constructed from random rubble. The building features thick walls with rounded angles, a central entrance with a double leaf plank door, and enlarged windows on either side that have 4-pane glazing. There is a renewed brick chimney at the center, and the cottage has a piended felt roof with two modern roof lights at the rear, which replaced the original thatch.
