Description
The burial ground at Kilmallie Old Parish Church, near Corpach, includes the remains of an earlier parish church. It now functions primarily as a burial enclosure, containing the interments of some members of the Cameron of Lochiel family. The site features a variety of 18th and 19th century tombstones, with some notable finely constructed and carved slate headstones. The burial ground is enclosed by a coped rubble wall, with square gate piers constructed of ashlar and topped with shaped caps. Further information relating to the site can be found in Donald MacCulloch’s Romantic Lochaber (1939), pages 174-8.
