52 Sandend is a mid 19th century single storey and attic cottage, featuring a narrow three-bay design. The building is constructed of rubble with contrasting painted joints and margins. It has a central entrance with a modern door and two late 19th century canted dormers that have varied glazing. The cottage is topped with a slate roof that has red pottery ridge tiles and is complemented by coped end stacks.
