Description

Gowanlea, located at 6 Main Street (formerly Grey’s Place) in Lybster, is a mid-19th century terrace of four, two-bay dwellings. The street numbers are based on the Valuation Roll. The building has a symmetrical facade and is harled, with additional dry-dash areas and rendered margins. It features paired windows with varied glazing, as well as ridge and end stacks. The roof is covered with Caithness slate. The statutory address includes numbers 2, 3, and 6 Main Street, along with the house to the right of Gowanlea.
