Description
This is a late 19th century presbytery, located in Roybridge and serving the Roman Catholic Church of St Margaret. It is a two-storey, symmetrical house facing south, originally with three bays. A lower, two-storey, two-bay wing extends to the rear. The exterior is constructed of sneck, coursed bullfaced rubble with dressed rubble details. Some areas of the rear elevation are harled.
The main entrance is centrally located and flanked by canted bay windows. The first floor has three windows, with the central window being narrower and all set beneath round-headed hoods. Similar windows are also present on the flank walls, with a stack in each gable. A strong horizontal course runs just below the lintels of the first floor windows, and provides support for curved wooden eaves brackets. Upper sashes feature multiple panes of glass. The roof is covered in slate and features piended designs.
A modern garage extension has been added to the rear. The building appears on the Ordnance Survey map of 1902.
