Description
This is a small, simple rectangular Roman Catholic church of the later 19th century, situated in Glen Spean. It is believed to have been restored and rebuilt by Reginald Fairlie. The church is constructed of rubble with tooled rubble dressings, and incorporates a re-used moulded window jamb in the north-east window. The entrance is on the south-west side, and there are paired windows in the east gable. A small bellcote is located at the apex of the west gable, and the roof is slate.
The church site includes a small burial ground containing tombs from the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries, and includes a fine 20th-century Celtic cross. The building occupies an earlier site and contains fragments of an earlier church. It stands on a commanding position on a ridge overlooking Glen Spean. The church is currently in ecclesiastical use.
