Description
The Rectory is a house dating from 1863, designed by Ross and Joass, with an addition made in 1895 by John Robertson. It is a single-story building with an attic, comprising three bays with a central front door. The exterior is constructed of rubble with ashlar dressings. The ground floor features canted bay windows, while the roof has three gabled dormers; the central dormer is topped with a cross finial. A single-story addition extends to the north side, and the roof is covered in slate. Associated with the main house are a gighouse and a stable. The Statutory address is ARPAFEELIE EPISCOPAL PARSONAGE, and contemporary advertisements for tenders appeared in the Inverness Advertiser (April 28, 1863) and the Inverness Courier (December 20, 1895).
