Description
This is a gate lodge, built in 1907-8 by W L Carruthers. It is a single-story building with three bays arranged around a central door. A wide veranda extends across the front elevation, supported by four Roman Doric columns and two pilasters running its full length. The veranda has a lead roof. The lodge is harled (roughcast) and features multi-paned windows. A central chimney is present and the roof is piended (hipped) and covered with stone slabs. The property also includes plain, square harled gate piers topped with pyramidal stone caps, cast-iron railings, and a gate. Plans dated December 1907 are held at the National Monuments Record of Scotland.
