Description

This is an 18th-century single-span bridge located at Chapelton. The bridge is splayed at each end, and its sloping parapets meet at a gentle apex in the centre. The parapets are topped by two square blocks of stone, one directly on top of the other, acting as finials. The bridge is constructed of rubble with ashlar copes.
