Description
Barrs-Fair, located at 2 Argyle Street in Dornoch, is a pair of two-storey, three-bay houses built in the earlier to mid-19th century. Each house features a central door and later additions of projecting gabled timber porches. The buildings are constructed of rubble with tooled dressings, and they have corniced end and ridge stacks topped with slate roofs.
No. 2 has multi-pane glazing with narrow margin panes, while No. 3 has four-pane double glazing. Additionally, there is a rubble garden wall with a tooled coping, and at No. 3, there are a pair of square rubble gate piers topped with pyramidal caps.
