Description
Tornaver is an early 19th century, two-storey and attic, three-bay house located off High Street in Dornoch. The building is constructed of rubble with tooled dressings, and the rear and flanks are harl pointed. The front (west) elevation features a modern glazed door at the centre of the first floor, which is accessed by a flight of steps with an ornate cast-iron handrail. There are two windows on the ground floor to the right, and the house has two piended dormers with 12-pane glazing. At the ground floor rear, there is a central door, which is masked by a modern porch due to the steeply sloping site. The house has end stacks and a slate roof.
