8 Gilchrist Square in Dornoch is an earlier 19th century single-storey cottage featuring three bays and a central door. It is connected to number 7 by a basket-arched entrance. The cottage is constructed from coursed rubble with tooled dressings, and it has end and ridge stacks along with a slate roof.
