Description
5 Main Street in St John's Town of Dalry is a pair of late 18th century, two-storey, three-bay cottages. The cottages are constructed from painted rubble with polished raised margins. Each cottage has a central door, with the door to No 7 featuring a fanlight. All the windows are sash and case with 12-pane glazing. The roof of No 7 is covered with slate, while No 5 has concrete tiles; both have flat skews, corniced ends, and axial stacks. At the rear of No 5, there is a lower two-storey wing that is set at right angles to the main building.
