Description
This late 19th-century cottage, designed in the Arts and Crafts style, is a two-storey asymmetrical building that was originally built as servants' lodging for Milton Park. The exterior features roughcast walls with polished sandstone margins and a tiled roof.
The main elevation is irregular, with a recessed door located at the extreme left. To the right, there is an advanced gabled bay with tripartite windows, and adjacent to it is a deeply projecting bowed bay that contains five-light windows. Each group of lights is set within a panel of sandstone masonry, topped with a common hoodmould.
To the right, there is a square-headed pend that leads to the rear court, featuring a lattice wall at the eaves that screens a linking passage. The steeply pitched tile roof is adorned with ceramic finials on the gables and has axial stacks with octagonal cans.
