Description
The vestry of the Church of Scotland in St John's Town of Dalry was built in 1880. It is a single-storey building with a T-plan layout, featuring rubble walling and polished sandstone quoins and margins. The vestry has a three-bay, advanced gabled central porch topped with a squat pinnacle at the gable apex, which includes a pointed-arch, double-leaf door. On either side of the porch, there are single pointed-arch sash windows; the upper sashes have Y-glazing, while the lower sashes are two-pane. The roof is covered with slate and includes pinnacles at the gable apex, along with sandstone skews, skewputts, and a ridge.
