Description
Whaligoe Mill is a mid to late 19th century building that stands two to three stories tall. It is constructed of rubble with tooled rubble dressings. The symmetrical southwest elevation features a three-storey, three-bay design with a piended front. This includes central loft doors on the first and second floors, with flanking windows on both upper levels. The ground floor has an entrance with a window on either side in the northeast elevation.
At the rear of the mill is a former kiln, which is backed by a lower three-storey, irregular four-bay wing that once housed an internal wheel. This wheel was served by a concrete lade that enters the mill in the center of the northwest elevation, beneath a small lean-to. The building has modern glazing and is topped with a Caithness slate roof.
