Description
1885-6. H and D Barclay. Greek temple-fronted church, converted 1988-89 to housing. Ashlar. Bold Ionic hexastyle frontispiece raised on podium fronts wide gable end; pediment sculpture by William Birnie Rhind. Steps rise either at side or by wide main flight to podium; portico with inner pilasters and atached columns flank doors, central 1 tall and corniced. Thomsonesque detail to main gable head.
S ELEVATION: wide end bays with small windows flat headed windows and modern sympathetic glazing, Greek key decoration between floors. Main cornice and low parapet. Roof lights in slate roof.
