Description
66-68 Greenview Street in Pollokshaws, Glasgow, is a former bank and law offices with dwelling houses above, designed by Thomas Baird in 1902. It stands as an isolated survivor in the street. The building has been refurbished as a tenement, featuring front stone-cleaned red ashlar and modern glazing, while the flanks are dry-dashed.
The structure has five bays above ground, with three wide arches at the ground level that include block detailing. Access to both the bank and law office was through the central arch. Above the ground floor, there is a central oriel that breaks through unusually deep eaves, and there are also second-floor oriels in the outer bays.
