Description
St Mary's Roman Catholic Church, located on Shawhill Road in Glasgow, was designed by W Nicholson of Manchester and completed in 1865. This conventional Gothic church features a nave and aisles, with an incomplete square tower at the front of the south aisle that rises in three stages and is supported by angle buttresses. The church is constructed from cleaned snecked rubble with ashlar dressings and includes traceried windows on the west front, which also has a gallery-level window above the central door. Additionally, there is a south-facing doorway in the tower. The roofs are made of slate.
