Description

The Church of St Andrew is a parish church built in 1842, designed by W A Nicholson, in a weak Gothic Revival style. It features coursed rubble with ashlar dressings and slate roofs. The church includes a neo-Early English west tower, along with a neo-Decorated nave, chancel, and north porch. This building replaced an earlier church, and the only remnant from that structure is an inscribed tablet located under the west window, which is dated 1626. Inside, there are also two wall monuments, both dated 1851.
