Description

Brankley House is a late 18th-century farmhouse. It is constructed of coursed rubble with ashlar quoins and has a pantile ridge roof with stone-coped side gables. The building is three stories high and has three bays. A central door is sheltered by a Roman Doric stone porch with glazed panels. Flanking this are single, shallow bow windows, each containing tripartite sash windows with leaded hoods. Above the ground floor windows are further sash windows with glazing bars, and above again are three smaller, segment-headed sash windows, each with red brick voussoirs. A corbelled brick cornice runs along the eaves.
