Description

Ivy House is an early 19th-century house with alterations made in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble, with ashlar dressings, and has a hipped slate roof with white brick stacks. The house has flush ashlar quoins and is two storeys high, with a four-bay facade. The front door is positioned off-centre and is topped by a hood supported on scroll brackets. The door itself is six-panelled, with a rectangular fanlight above. A single glazing bar sash window is located to the south, while a tripartite sash window, dating to the mid-19th century, replaces two original sash windows to the north. Above, there are three glazing bar sash windows, plus another mid-19th century tripartite sash window to the south. All windows have stone lintels with keystones. Original fleur-de-lys railings and a gate are present.
